"The CGF Weekend Kickoff Concert"
The 2020 CGF officially begins on February 7th at 7pm, with a "Weekend Kickoff Concert" featuring Mak Grgic, Joe Carter, and Instruments of the People at Westport Library. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $10.00

"Mini-Master Classes", "GuitART "
 
On Saturday, February 8th from 10:00 am to 2:30pm 'The CGF' presents "Mini-Master Classes" at Suzuki Music School of Westport. The classes will feature prominent instructors like Tali Roth and Seth Himmelhoch hosting workshops and master classes. Registration is $25.00 and required in advance.
GuitART begins at 4pm at the Westport Library. GuitART is an exposition featuring luthiers, art, photography, music, and, most importantly, guitars! Our popular "Antique Guitar Roadshow", a booth where people can bring their instruments in for free, fair, and honest valuation, is also returning. We will also be displaying guitar-centric photography and art .  GuitART will feature performances by Tali Roth, Paul Green's Rock Academy and more!!!
Join us for food, drinks and art at this unique celebration of everything guitar. Admission is FREE.

"Clash of the Guitar Minds",  "The CGF Pillow Concert"
On Sunday, the 9th at 1:30pm at Westport Library the Connecticut Guitar Festival continues with "Clash of The Guitar Minds" an innovative educational presentation that will be streamed internationally featuring one student being run through four consecutive guitar workshops audited by a live audience taught by guitarists Jernej Bervar, Mak Grgic, Paul Gabriel, and Lau Noah.  
 
"The Clash" will be immediately followed by ''The CGF Pillow Concert", an all ages concert event featuring all 4 artists geared at engaging our younger guitar fans. FREE EVENT.

GuitART is an exposition at the Westport Library featuring luthiers, art, photography, music, and, most importantly, guitars!

 

Acclaimed classical guitarist Tali Roth will officially begin the festivities as she performs a set of original arrangements by Astor Piazzolla on the main stage at 4pm. Seth Himmelhoch, chair of the Guitar Development Committee of the Suzuki Association of the Americas' and member of 'Duo Cavatina', takes the stage at 5pm.  Paul Green's Rock Academy will perform a tribute to legendary rock guitarists at 6pm. PGRA will also be holding scholarship auditions throughout the day at the event to win one year of free tuition to the school. Our popular "Antique Guitar Roadshow", a booth where people can bring their instruments in for free, fair, and honest valuation, is  also returning. Local guitar-centric art and photos will be on display. 

 

Admission is free. All Ages are welcome.
