All ages can enter. Must be a Connecticut resident.
Official “Best Guitarist in Connecticut” Contest Rules
The contest begins on December 5th, 2019 and closes on January 20th, 2020.
We are seeking the “Best Guitarist in Connecticut” across the 4 music categories of the 2020 Connecticut Guitar Festival: Jazz, Rock/Blues, Classical, and Latin/World.
Submissions must be an MP3 recording of a solo performance or a performance with percussion, not full instrumentation. Entries must not exceed 3 minutes in length. Direct links to work are also accepted in addition to files.
The submission fee is $10.00 per category entry. Guitarists can submit one entry to each of the 4 categories. The contest is open to all, and there is no minimum age for entry. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or legal guardian must submit your entry. Entries must be submitted using this form (hotlink to form cgf site)
Entrants must be able to attend GuitART at The Westport Library on February 8th, 2020. Entrants must be Connecticut residents.
The contest winners will be decided by CGF 2020 Official Artists and Artistic Director Mak Grgic and Artistic Advisor Rob Fabroni.
The contest winners from each of the 4 categories will receive the prize of performing at GuitART at The Westport Library on February 8th and a guitar recording workshop with festival Artistic Director, Grammy-winner Rob Fabroni, at Factory Underground Recording Studios.
